Feyenoord have reached an agreement with Manchester United over defender Tyrell Malacia, who is now likely to move to Old Trafford.

That’s according to Voetbal International, who say United have beaten Lyon to the left-back’s signature.

The newspaper reports that Manchester United have ‘won over’ their French counterparts in the race for Malacia’s signature at the last minute, despite the Ligue 1 side having a verbal agreement in place.

Voetbal International journalist Martijn Krabbendam backs this up stating that Feyenoord ‘reached an agreement’ with Manchester United on the player last night and thus hijacked his potential move to Lyon.

It will now be up to the player to decide where he wants to go, although they believe it is ‘likely’ he will be joining Manchester United.

In fact, VI say that Lyon have ‘lost out’ to them.

There is no mention of a fee from either outlet at this moment in time, but that information will surely be forthcoming.

A sale is ‘imminent’, though, with Malacia set to be the second departure from Feyenoord this summer after Bryan Linssen.
