This morning, we brought you the latest update on the Paul Pogba transfer deal from Spain as Marca claimed the deal was ‘paralysed’.

Our hunch on that was that this was a Marca tactic to try and get Real Madrid fans’ hopes up that a deal could still be possible, because that’s what Marca do.

In Italy, the story is very different, and it seems most newspapers still expect the deal to be done soon.

Corriere on Tuesday claim that Paul Pogba’s days at Juventus are ‘numbered’, suggesting that it’s all but done.

There was a lot of fuss regarding the player’s most recent Instagram picture of him and Mino Raiola in a pool in Miami having a good laugh with a cryptic caption, but that doesn’t worry Corriere one bit.

They state that the two clubs met yesterday and spoke about the transfer, and Corriere’s final line regarding Pogba is ‘it won’t take long for the deal to be announced’.

Our bottom line this morning was that a deal was most likely sorted and all parties were just waiting for the player’s holidays to end before announcing, which seems to be the general belief in Italy too.
