One of the more exciting prospects in German football right now, Leroy Sané has apparently got his future all sorted out: he will be moving to Manchester City.
The 20-year-old Schalke player, who was being tracked by nearly every big club in Europe last season will apparently be joining Pep Guardiola at his new club, according to Sport’s Gerard Romero on Monday.
The reliable journalist published an article on the Catalan website reporting the youngster had made his choice, and that the transfer is closed and done.
No transfer fee has been mentioned just yet, but considering Schalke 04’s reluctance to let any of their star players go, we would wager the amount being considerably high.
Currently with the German squad for the 2016 Euros, the 20-year-old right-winger had a very good season for Schalke in 2015-16, scoring nine goals and picking up seven assists in 42 appearances.
Of course it isn’t done until it is official, but this is a very big claim from Romero, and one he probably wouldn’t make if he wasn’t sure he was right.
