Bayern Munich’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Rodri was mentioned a few weeks back, but since then, reports in Spain suggested that Manchester City are expected to acquire his services.
On May 23rd, we covered claims from Germany that the Bundesliga winners are keen on signing the midfielder, but AS explained on Thursday that Pep Guardiola’s side ‘seems to be quite advanced’ so it would be difficult for Bayern.
Friday’s edition of AS once again claims the English champions are ‘best placed’ to land the 22-year-old, yet the Etihad club have been warned the ‘situation may change’.
Bayern have agreed a deal with Atletico for Lucas Hernandez, who shares a good relationship with the midfielder. They remain hopeful the Frenchman can convince Rodri to snub advances from the Premier League side and join him at the Allianz Arena.
