NtvSpor have reported Besiktas are looking to sign Manchester City defender Elaquim Mangala.
The Turkish website claims the Turkish giants are looking to sign at least one centre back for next season to partner Marcelo, and Manchester City’s Mangala is currently top of the list. The former Porto player looks surplus to requirements at Manchester City, and may need to move on this summer.
NtvSpor say Besiktas officials have already made an offer to Manchester City and the negotiations between the clubs are going well. It’s currently unknown if Mangala would entertain joining Besiktas, but NtvSpor report if the Frenchman wants the move then a deal could be done soon.
Valencia have already confirmed they are not going to sign Mangala on a permanent deal after he spent the season on loan there, which allow Besiktas to move in on the player. The Spanish club’s reasoning is money, with Mangala’s performances making him one of Valencia’s better performers.
