Man City told to go ‘very, very deep’ into their pockets for any chance of transfer

German magazine Kicker have relaunched the Toni Kroos to Manchester City rumour, saying Pep Guardiola has renewed interest in the German international.

Kicker describe Kroos as a typical Guardiola type player, and label him a pass machine. The Manchester City manager is said to have long held a love for Kroos, and Kicker say it’s a love which doesn’t rust.

Guardiola wants to reshape his Manchester City midfield and Real Madrid’s Kroos is the perfect man to go along with his compatriot Ilkay Gundogan.

That may be the case, but German newspaper Bild have covered the Kicker article and they’re not so sure.

Bild state: ‘The Citizens would have to go very, very deep into their pockets to make the Champions League winners think about it.’

And even then, Bild think it’s unlikely from the player’s perspective.

Mrs Kroos is expecting the couple’s second child at the end of July, and moving the young family isn’t something which Bild think is in the thoughts of Toni Kroos.
