David Silva’s time at Manchester City will come to an end after this season.

Earlier this campaign, the Spaniard announced his decision to leave the Etihad once his contract expires on June 30th.

With the 2019/20 campaign delayed due to the Covid-19 crisis, the 34-year-old signed a short-term deal to finish this term with the Citizens.

So far, the former Valencia man has not announced where he will play next season. On May 20th, the City star admitted his family have been asking him questions about his future.

Last month, Mundo Deportivo explained ‘everything indicates’ Qatari side Al-Duhail will be the player’s next club.

There has since been a new development, if AS are to be believed. The newspaper takes a look at Spain’s 2010 World Cup winning squad and gives an update on their current situation.

‘United States awaits you’, states AS, about Silva. It’s ‘unknown’ where Pep Guardiola’s man will play next season, but his ‘most likely destination’ would be Major League Soccer.

David Beckham’s Inter Miami have long been credited with an interest in him, but AS doesn’t provide any details of specific MLS clubs chasing Silva.
