Manchester City youngster Savinho has ‘set his sights’ on a move to PSV Eindhoven as City plan to ship him out this summer.
That’s according to De Telegraaf, who say the Dutch side will have to compete with Troyes and Lommel, both of whom are part of the City Group network of clubs.
The newspaper explains that Manchester City are planning on sending Savinho out on loan next season after reaching an agreement to sign him from Atletico Mineiro earlier this year.
He wis expected to move to Europe in a €6.5m deal, which can rise to €12.5m with bonuses, which will make him the most expensive player in Atletico’s history.
He is one of their ‘crown jewels’, but Manchester City have decided that he needs to be ‘stabled’ at a club in Europe for the foreseeable future.
His next destination, though, is ‘uncertain’ as the City Group are yet to decide where would be best for him.
They do, at least, have options, with two of the clubs in their network, Troyes and Lommel, more than happy to take him on loan.
The player, however, has a different idea in mind and has ‘set his sights’ on a move to PSV Eindhoven instead. That, therefore, gives them something of an advantage, but they don’t have the connections that the other two enjoy with Manchester City.
In other words, his future is very much in the air, although a move is on the way in the summer, and he has made it clear where he would prefer to go if he has any say on the matter.
