It was back in January that we first saw Manchester City being linked to Flamengo youngster Matheus França. At the time, it was claimed the Premier League side were preparing a ‘truckload of money’ to take him out of Brazil.
Not a lot has changed in the player’s situation at the Rio de Janeiro side’s since then, as he continues to make little steps as he builds his career, having few chances to play a small number of minutes.
Journalist Julio Miguel Neto claims the City Group intend to make an offer worth €35m for Matheus França this summer. Flamengo are said to be aware of the interest, and the player was also approached by Real Madrid.
