The newspaper claim Spurs ‘seem to be slipping away’ from the race, with Manchester City now being the favourites to sign the forward.

In fact, Corriere dello Sport say the Etihad side are ‘gathering more and more information on the Belgrade giant’, as Pep Guardiola continues to look for a number nine.

The departure of Sergio Agüero left a hole needed to be filled at Manchester City, with Harry Kane the prime target, but Tottenham’s reluctance to sell him led to alternatives being looked at.

That, and the current reported negotiations between the club and Barcelona for Ferran Torres, suggests an arrival is being anticipated, with Vlahović now climbing that list, it seems.

It’s hinted that a ‘shower of millions can really end up on the table’, and it will ‘be up to Fiorentina to find a way to postpone the times until the summer’.

This suggests a bid from Manchester City for the striker is expect in January, and we’ll be here to let you know when it’s been made.
