VatanSpor have reported Galatasaray have signed Manchester City’s Jason Denayer on a season-long loan deal, and the 21-year old is expected at Istanbul Ataturk Airport this evening.
Denayer told Guardiola that he’s only interested in getting a move to Galatasaray, as we reported earlier in the window, and it seems he finally got his wish as he’s set to play for the Cim-Bom until the end of the season.
It’s understood current manager Jan-Olde Riekerink thinks Turkish international Semih Kaya is nowhere near the standard to be included in his starting eleven, and subsequently has pushed very hard to land the young Belgian.
It’s also been reported Denayer is impressed with Galatasaray’s determination to sign him, and is delighted to join the club again.
Galatasaray have been busy in the past few days after signing Kolbeinn Sightorsson from Nantes yesterday and Denayer is expected at the airport around the same time as former Manchester City star Nigel De Jong.
Denayer spent last season on loan at Galatasaray where he made 28 appearances. Denayer was part of the team which won the Turkish cup by beating fierce rivals Fenerbahce in the final.
