On Monday morning we covered claims from Spain that West Brom are on the verge of signing Ignacio Camacho. The Malaga player has been linked with several clubs this summer, but it looked to be West Brom who had finally taken the plunge.
‘If everything goes right, Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho will be a West Brom player soon, reports Marca.
Marca say Camacho ‘will not play again’ for Malaga, and his departure will be made official in the next few hours.
West Bromwich have agreed a fee of €15m plus €3m in bonuses for Camacho. It’s reported both the clubs are trying to figure out the payment structure after which Camacho will move to the Premier League club.’
Whilst the offer which Marca explained adds up to €18m, the player’s clause, should the bonuses be achieved, it’s not them activating a buyout, so not a forced move.
Malaga’s owner Sheikh Al-Thani has taken to Twitter to give his side, which isn’t unusual for him.

He asked me to leave and I respected his decision— Abdullah N Al Thani (@ANAALThani) August 29, 2016
So far, this issue has not been decided and the decision in the hands of the player and we do not have the time

There is no time of signing with another player
The delay is not in the interest of our team
We also ask for respect— Abdullah N Al Thani (@ANAALThani) August 29, 2016
That doesn’t really clear everything up, but given Al-Thani has confirmed Camacho wants to go, it’d be awkward now if the move didn’t happen.
