Coventry City and Stoke City are the main two clubs said to be in the mix for Mjällby AIF’s Abdoulie Manneh.

Last Wednesday, we covered claims from Sweden that Mjällby had paused negotiations. This was done with the hope more clubs could come forward to sign the 21-year-old.

Two days later, Fotboll Direkt reported Stoke City have joined Coventry City in the hunt for Manneh. At the weekend, Mjällby sports manager Hasse Larsson confirmed interest from England in the forward.

A fresh report from Fotboll Direkt covers the latest.

They state ‘Mjällby and Manneh’s main track is Coventry City’, with Frank Lampard’s side leading the way.

It’s claimed Coventry City will be the first club that Mjällby will negotiate with for Manneh’s sale, ‘starting next week’. Recent claims from Africa mentioned a Stoke City bid of SEK 60m [€5.45m].

According to Fotboll Direkt, Stoke City haven’t submitted any offer for the attacker.
