In the winter market, AFC Bournemouth reached an agreement with FC Lorient for Eli Junior Kroupi and sent him back on loan until the end of last season.
The striker, who can also operate on the left wing, played a key role in helping Lorient secure promotion to Ligue 1. He scored 23 times and registered three assists last season.
Eli Junior Kroupi hasn’t managed to replicate last season’s form at Bournemouth. He’s been limited to 12 minutes from three Premier League games.
Jeunes Footeux report Lyon are closely monitoring the 19-year-old’s situation ahead of the January window.
Enzo Molebe and Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez are currently the centre forwards at the Ligue 1 club and both are lacking experience. Therefore, they would look to improve their attack in the next window, and this is where Eli Junior Kroupi comes into the picture.
The Bournemouth player’s profile and versatility appeal a lot to Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca.
It’s further claimed this is not the first time the French club have showed interest in the player as they were very interested to acquiring his signature in January, before losing out to the Cherries.
Lyon could return for Eli Junior Kroupi next January, while Jeunes Footeux, who make it clear it’s their own information, add that other unnamed clubs are keeping an eye on him.
