Wednesday saw multiple claims from Germany discuss Manchester United’s desire to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani in the summer.
Bild first came out with a report explaining the Red Devils are very interested in the striker and are preparing an ‘official mega offer’ of €120m. It was also stated the Bundesliga side are ready to let go of him if there is a proposal worth over €100m.
This was followed by a report from SportBild, who stated the 24-year-old could consider joining a top club if there is an interesting sporting project. Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg then explained the player is ‘definitely’ on Manchester United’s list, but probably isn’t first choice.
Following these reports, Sky Deutschland got in touch with the German club’s Head of Football, Timmo Hardung. He claims there has been no approach from Erik ten Hag’s side yet for the France international.
“So far – I’ve just checked my emails again – nothing has arrived, at least not with me,” the chief said.
Hardung was also asked whether Eintracht Frankfurt could reject an offer, if Manchester United were to submit a €120m bid for the attacker.
“Yes, we can. In the end, it’s not my decision alone. But yes, it’s an awful a lot of money for a player – even in that category,” Hardung explained.
Randal Kolo Muani has 16 goals and 14 assists from 34 matches this season.
