Manchester City have made renewing Rodri a priority objective and are confident it can be done before the end of this season.
That’s according to Cadena SER and journalist Antón Meana, who say Manchester City have started the process of keeping the Ballon D’Or winner out of Real Madrid’s hands.
They report that Manchester City and ‘anti-Real Madrid plan’ with Rodri and are optimistic it will work out in their favour.
City are not hiding and want to renew their star as soon as possible; despite the fact he is currently out injured for the season.
Those in charge of the club believe they are growing at the pace that they desired when they first took over, with Rodri’s Ballon D’Or win latest step forwards. That was a milestone for the Premier League champions and they’re now not going to stop until he renews his deal.
They are more than aware that he has offers from ‘important teams’ and any of the big teams in the world, particularly Real Madrid, want to sign him.
Thus, they have started their plan to prevent this from happening. The priority objective is to get Rodri to renew, and they are ‘tremendously objective’ about being able to announce it before the end of the season.
The ‘shadow’ of Real Madrid worries them, particularly the growing number of rumours that Real Madrid have made signing their midfielder a top priority too. They’re moving against that early and at the moment, are confident they’ll get the 28-year-old signed to a new deal.
