Hull City vice chairman Tan Kesler has told the Turkish media he expects Jaden Philogene to sign for Aston Villa this summer.
The youngster has in recent weeks been linked with a return to Villa Park after leaving the club for Hull City last year.
Hurriyet have reported on comments Kesler has made to the Turkish press in the build up to Hull City’s friendly with Fenerbahce today.
When quizzed about summer transfers and the possibility of Philogene leaving, he revealed the winger is likely to return to Aston Villa. Kesler believes they have invested wisely in the player after he arrived for an undisclosed fee in 2023.
“They’ve got Jaden back now. Most likely he will play in the Champions League. Our investment in him will continue to gain value. Jaden looks like he’s going to Aston Villa,“ said Kesler.
There have been reports in the UK media this month that Philogene is on the verge signing for Aston Villa for a fee reportedly in the region of £18m. It’s expected the player will sign a five-year deal with the Premier League club.
Philogene made 32 appearances for Hull City last season, scoring 12 goals. He’s contracted to the Championship club until June 2026, with the option of another year.
