Fenerbahçe are eyeing up a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Tolu Arokodare in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Sabah. They report that the Wolves summer signing has ‘emerged’ as a potential option for the Turkish side.
They report that Fenerbahçe are aiming to strengthen their forward line in the January transfer window. They’re currently looking at a large pool of options, with negotiations ongoing regarding several.
Arokodare is one of them. They are considering making a loan offer to Wolves for the striker. That would include an option to buy at the end of the season.
The striker only joined Wolves in the summer but ‘hasn’t been getting enough playing time’ at Molineux this season. Fenerbahçe see Arokodare as similar to Trabzonspor’s Paul Onuachu. At 24-years-old, though, he is also seen as a player with ‘significant potential’.
However, Arokodare has already played for Genk and Wolves this season. FIFA allow players to be registered with three clubs in one season, but they can only play for two.
Regardless of what Sabah say, that should block things for January.
