Milliyet report Loris Karius has picked up his belongings at Besiktas’ training ground Nevzat Demir and will now terminate his contract with the club next week.

Last month we covered claims from the Turkish press that the Liverpool loanee had gone to FIFA over unpaid wages, and it’s likely that he won’t return to action when the Turkish Super Lig restarts.

The Turkish outlet claim the 26 year old will leave the country next week and will first go to Germany and then England.

According to Milliyet, Karius will now train according to Liverpool coaching staff guidelines, and Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin is set to give a chance to younger keepers for the remainder of the season.

Once his contract with Besiktas is terminated, it’s reported the Black Eagles board will hold talks with Karius’ agent to set up a payment plan over his unpaid wages. There have been earlier reports he could provide back up to Allison next season after holding talks with Jurgen Klopp.

Karius’ contract with Liverpool will expire at the end of June 2022.
