Takvim claim Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has called Besiktas boss Senol Gunes to discuss the latest developments with Loris Karius.
Karius is currently on loan with the Turkish club but recent blunders have seemingly cost him his place in the team.
The German goalkeeper has been one of the main talking points in the Turkish media since signing from Liverpool in the summer.
Despite losing his place to Tolga Zengin last week and being left out of yesterday’s game Sivasspor, Takvim say Gunes is content with Karius.
Gunes has reportedly told Klopp: “He’s very good. He adapted quite easily, and his determination is also great. But sometimes he loses his focus in the games and training. But in general, I can say I am very pleased with his performances so far.”
According to Takvim, Klopp is likely to call Gunes again in the future to talk about the 24 year old and check on his progression.
However, Karius’ doesn’t look to have a future with Liverpool and Klopp may simply be encouraging Besiktas to stick with the German and then use their buying option.
