Liverpool are reportedly one of the clubs in the race for Hoffenheim youngster Nick Breitenbücher.
It’s German outlet Spox who comes up with this information today, saying the 17-year-old has been attracting the interest from a few European sides.
Breitenbücher has been impressing for Hoffenheim’s youth ranks, and his skills with his left foot is what makes the local press and his teammates compare him to Arjen Robben.
“He says exactly what he thinks, doesn’t say a word and is very direct,” one of his teammates told Spox. “He’s a little devil”.
Spox claims that Schalke 04 were the first to make contact for the winger. But Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Liverpool have been following the teenager as well.
Even though Hoffenheim see great potential in the player, they’ve been selling some of their promising youngsters in order to keep their financial balance.
This means Breitenbücher could be one more talent who leaves the club before even making his debut for the first team.
With Jürgen Klopp certainly attentive to the rising stars in his home country, perhaps the manager could be another factor to attract the player to Liverpool.
