Sporting seem to be really interested in Lazar Markovic, so the daily updates on these negotiations won’t end soon.
Wednesday’s edition of A Bola has an article talking about the efforts that the Portuguese club will have to make to sign the Liverpool winger for next season.
And by ‘efforts’, they don’t mention many efforts, really. Sporting want the 22-year-old on loan, like we predicted when the local papers started saying the club wouldn’t have enough money to afford him.
The problem is that Liverpool want the player to be sold permanently, which makes the deal much more complicated. But Sporting, being Sporting, won’t give up.
A Bola treats the deal as ‘not easy, but viable’, although they don’t really have updates on how the talks are developing.
Despite not being mentioned today, the biggest competition for the player comes from Wolfsburg and Fenerbahce, as both are said to have more resources than the Portuguese side.
