Wednesday’s edition of L’Equipe has a feature on Lille players who could be leaving the club in the coming window, and Tottenham were linked with Zeki Celik, a right back.
The French newspaper believe Spurs could also be interested in Sven Botman, with Liverpool pulled into the reckoning as well.
The central defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League a few times in recent months, and certainly doesn’t seem to be against the idea of playing in England one day.
L’Equipe say Liverpool and Tottenham are thought to have ‘expressed interest’ in signing the player, and it’s suggested he recently flirted with the Reds, which would edge them ahead of their domestic rivals.
However, according to the French claims it’s believed Botman will continue at Lille for another season. The Ligue 1 champions simply can’t sell all their players, and the Dutchman can hopefully be a rock on which a new defence is built around.Should he manage that, then this rumour will likely start again over the next year.
