A few months ago, we all saw many European sides becoming interested in Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat. That battle included the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
It turns out that the 26-year-old ended up staying at the Serie A side. But that didn’t stop the big interest in him, and he should still leave his club in the summer window.
French outlet Foot Mercato now feature an update on Amrabat’s future, and as they list the clubs who want him, Liverpool and Tottenham are included.
The list of pretenders is completed by Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain. The first two may have some advantage because of the player’s desire to play in La Liga, and it’s really the Camp Nou side who are said to have his preference.
But the cards are still to be placed on the table, and according to Foot Mercato, Liverpool and Tottenham ‘have not said their last word yet’.
It’s acknowledged that Reds, Spurs and PSG may have better financial conditions than the Spanish club, but with the player wishing for the La Liga move, money may not be enough.
