Liverpool star Luis Diaz has offered himself to Barcelona and told the club he is open to a move in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to El Chiringuito and journalist Jose Alvarez, who reports that Diaz’s agents have been speaking to Barcelona and director of football Deco.

Barcelona have long been linked with Diaz, who is believed to be on their list of options to bolster their left-wing.

The Liverpool star has regularly been linked with a move to the Camp Nou over the last few transfer windows, although Barcelona’s finances have often blocked them from moving forward or doing anything concrete.

Diaz has found himself in and out of Liverpool’s side this season and there is a belief that he could be moved on this summer as he enters the final two years of his deal.

And it seems the forward may be lining up offers too, with Alvarez reporting that he’s been offered to Barcelona.

“Luis Diaz has offered himself to Barcelona. His agents have told Deco that he is open to arriving in the summer,” the journalist told El Chiringuito.

Now, before getting too excited, we would suggest taking this with a pinch of salt given Barcelona’s precarious finances.

They’re unlikely to be able to move to sign Diaz from Liverpool unless they secure sales first, with La Liga having imposed a one in one out rule on them in the last couple of windows.

Liverpool will also want a top fee for the Colombian if they are to sell, meaning there will be plenty of obstacles to a deal even if Diaz is offering himself around.
