Luis Diaz’s potential departure from Liverpool is getting quite some attention in the sports media today.
Earlier on Wednesday, we covered claims from Colombia which said there are a few clubs who are interested in the player, and the Reds might even be keen on selling him.
Now it’s time for RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins to bring some more interesting claims on the Liverpool star’s future.
The report claims that Paris Saint Germain are indeed interested in Diaz, as he’s in a ‘shortlist’ they have for the summer window.
Diaz has reportedly ‘been offered’ to PSG’s board by executive assistant to the manager Antero Henrique, although he’s still to become a unanimous choice, as other players will also end up on that list.
The French club are said to be preparing for a ‘post-Mbappé era’ and the Liverpool winger is seen as the ‘portrait of the offensive player’ they’re looking for.
Diaz is described as a ‘collective element’ who could end up being a perfect fit for the fresh plans at the Parisian side once their star leaves.
The big issue now is to find a deal with Liverpool, and because Colombian is well protected by a contract running until 2027, it’s said that the Reds are expected to demand at least €80m for his departure.
