Liverpool will send scouts to watch Portugal’s clash with Ghana at the World Cup tomorrow as they want to watch Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus in person.

That’s according to Sports World Ghana, who say Reds scouts will be in attendance in Qatar to watch the Ajax star.

Kudus has been shining for Ajax this season, with five goals in 14 games in the Eredivisie and four goals and two assists in six games in the Champions League group stages.

One of those goals came in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield back in September and Sports World Ghana report that Jurgen Klopp has been ‘keeping an eye’ on the player since then.

It seems he is now firmly on Liverpool’s scouting list and the website reports that they plan to send scouts to watch Portugal vs Ghana on Thursday to watch him in person.

Kudus is expected to be a starter and potential star for Ghana, who are in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

His performances are likely to be key to the African nation’s hopes of getting past the group stages and it seems Liverpool will be watching closely, with it stated they ‘hope to bring him to Anfield’ in January.
