According to a claim in the Turkish media, Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz.
The 24-year-old impressed in Germany this summer, and this has reportedly brought him to the attention of a host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool. It’s also sent the Turkish sport media into the transfer stratosphere, making all kinds of claims about multiple Premier League clubs.
Ajanspor have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Yilmaz, and they say Liverpool have offered Galatasaray €30m to sign him this summer.
Liverpool’s interest in the right winger has also been strengthened with reports Yilmaz is currently in London. However, it’s not reported if he has planned meetings with the Reds, and there’s every chance he’s just enjoying his holidays.
The number of claims around the player make it feel like someone is pushing the story, and perhaps doing so beyond the realms of reality.
