Greek newspaper Sportime report Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas is a target for Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.

It’s claimed the 22 year old is on an ‘expanded’ shortlist of left-backs for the Premier League leaders, who could be in the market for someone to provide backup to Andy Robertson. However, this could be questioned following reports his club are looking for €25m, quite a fee for a player to provide cover for the Scotland international.

Tsimikas has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with the likes of Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur said to be interested in signing the player.

Sportime claim Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking for a left-back and Tsimikas is one of the players they are currently keen on, but they also report that he’s not ‘very high’ on Liverpool’s list.

That could be down to price.

The Greek left-back has been in impressive form for Pedro Martins’ side this season and his displays against English sides in Europe have caught the attention of other clubs.

He’s made 37 appearances for Eryhtrolefki in this campaign and is under contract until June 2022.
