Now taking the Jupiler Pro League by storm, the 19-year-old has caught the eye of a few bigger clubs around Europe, including Sevilla and their Champions League rivals Liverpool.
According to Estadio Deportivo, who have a large article on the La Liga side’s desire to bring in Berge, Jürgen Klopp has asked some of his scouts to go watch the youngster live over the past few weeks.
The worry here would be for Premier League clubs, which we assume will include Everton, get into a bidding war for the Norway international, as there’s little chance of Sevilla being able to keep up.
Having put €12m to one side to sign Berge, the Spaniards know ‘Genk are a very tough club to negotiate with’, meaning there’s little wiggle room in their demands.
If it comes down to money, then we know Liverpool have the advantage here.
