Here’s another Liverpool star who could soon be off to Saudi Arabia.
According to Foot Mercato, Al Nassr are now interested in Reds’ goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
It’s claimed that following their 2-1 defeat to Al-Ettifaq on Monday, they got convinced of replacing Nawaf Al-Aqidi in the position.
That’s why they are now keen on the Liverpool goalkeeper, who, according to the story, is ‘rather tempted’ by this new challenge.
The Saudi interest in Liverpool players has been having big impact in the summer window.
Roberto Firmino joined Al-Ahli on a free transfer, while Jordan Henderson moved to Al-Ettifaq for €14m and Fabinho was bought by Ittihad Club on a €46.7m deal.
Foot Mercato’s story doesn’t make it clear how much Al-Nassr are keen on paying Liverpool for Alisson.
The goalkeeper is well protected by the Reds with a contract until 2027, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €35m.
That’s certainly an unexpected chase for him this window, and it’ll be interesting to see how Liverpool will react to that, as there aren’t many goalkeepers ready to move at the end of the window.
