TMW claim Liverpool are ready to table an offer for AS Roma defender Emerson. The 23 year old has been linked with the Premier League in the past few hours.

According to TMW, Liverpool have a €21m offer ready to sign the Brazilian left back before the window closes on Thursday. The Italian outlet say the Merseyside club see the player as one for the future, and are looking to get a deal done.

We earlier covered reports from Italy that Liverpool are expected to ‘warm up’ their interest in Emerson in the next 24 hours, with the possibility of the defender arriving at Anfield before the deadline.

Emerson played 25 league games for Roma last season, helping them to second place in Serie A. Liverpool wouldn’t have an issue with a work permit as the player holds an Italian passport, therefore bypassing the need.

The left back is contracted to Roma until June 2021.
