Even though Marko Grujic is now back at Liverpool to spend the pre-season with the first team squad, Porto’s interest in signing him still gets a lot of attention from the Portuguese media.
Newspaper O Jogo features a headline saying a new midfielder is a ‘maximum urgency’ issue for the Dragons this summer.
Grujic continues to be the main name on their list, as Porto won’t give up on his transfer.
O Jogo writes that Liverpool’s intention is to sell him in this transfer window for around €15m, which is considered to be too much for the Portuguese side, especially because they haven’t made any sales yet.
It’s claimed that Grujic trains with the Reds as he waits for new proposals, and his ‘preference’ is for Porto.
The problem with that is Liverpool don’t care about who’s his first options, as they can sell the player to ‘any interested club’.
So as the Dragons wait to find a better deal with the Reds, they must be aware that someone could show up at any time and end up taking the player.
