According to his information, the Reds will meet the Saints’ £40m request, plus place some add-ons on the table.

Tavolieri claims Lavia’s entourage is just waiting for Liverpool to make the move, and already informed the club that he’s keen on making the switch.

It’s also said there’s the ‘feeling’ that the Anfield side are the only club who’ll offer Southampton that amount at this stage of the transfer window, so the St. Mary’s side could be encouraged to accept.
