Liverpool need some new midfielders, and everyone knows this, including Borussia Dortmund, who slapped a hefty price tag on the back of Jude Bellingham.
That has forced the Reds to look elsewhere, with many names being linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
One of the more common ones has been Nicolo Barella, currently at Inter Milan, and Sport Mediaset, relayed by FC Inter News, add to the Liverpool rumours on Wednesday.
They state that the Premier League side would be ‘betting strongly’ on the former Cagliari starlet, and would intend to make a ‘super offer of around €85m’ to convince the Serie A side to sell.
However, despite the potential lure of heading to England and improving his salary considerably, it’s stated that a move to Liverpool ‘does not appeal at all’ to the midfielder, who has ‘no intention’ of leaving his current club.
Barella has been a key player for Inter ever since his arrival, and showed his importance once again in the recent Champions League quarter-finals against Benfica by scoring a lovely curled effort in the return leg, helping them set up a clash against fierce city rivals AC Milan.
