Manchester United and Liverpool have returned to a pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to claims on Wednesday.
Foot Mercato write that this week, Erik ten Hag’s and Jurgen Klopp’s side have ‘reactivated the track’ leading to the 21-year-old.
It’s claimed that neither Manchester United or Liverpool have placed their bids so far, so they seem to be in initial contacts for the move.
And it turns out that Gravenberch actually has a preference among the two, as it’s claimed he’d rather join the Red Devils.
The report doesn’t say how much Bayern Munich would demand for the youngster’s departure. They have him protected with a contract until 2027, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €27m.
Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been heavily linked to midfielders in the past couple of weeks. The Red Devils seem to be in an endless pursuit of Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, while the Anfield side have failed in their chase for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, who both moved to Chelsea instead.
Now it seems they’re set to battle for the Dutch international.
