Earlier this week, Sky Deutschland reported Naby Keïta has no plans to extend his deal at Liverpool and intends to leave Anfield when his contract expires in June.
The midfielder arrived at the Merseyside club in 2018 and has struggled with injuries since the 2019/20 season. He’s been restricted to 11 appearances, which includes two league starts this season.
Keïta’s situation at Liverpool and the time left on his contract has seen him attract attention from other clubs. Inter Milan are among them.
According to InterLive.it, the Guinea international is willing to change clubs after this season due to restricted game time under Jürgen Klopp’s orders. The Reds are also not willing to hand him a new deal.
With the two parties set for separation, Keïta’s intermediaries have proposed him to a few Serie A clubs. The details of these sides are not mentioned. The player ‘appreciates’ the agents’ efforts but has a preference when deciding his next destination.
The former RB Leipzig man is eyeing a return to the Bundesliga later this year and this makes it difficult for Inter to sign the Liverpool midfielder for free in the summer.
