Former Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatovic met AC Milan leaders at the club’s headquarters on Monday.

According to Calciomercato, he is in collaboration with agent Vlado Lemic, who represents the likes of Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren, Nemanja Matic of Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder Luak Modric.

Mijatovic’s purpose of meeting the Serie A club’s officials was to discuss the Reds defender.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-back following the departure of Cristian Zapata and a long-term injury to Mattia Caldara.

Lovren has emerged as a target and the report claims the 29-year-old is open to the idea of leaving Anfield in order to play regular football next season.

The Italian website have gathered information about the figures needed to close to the operation for the former Southampton man, who still has two years left with the Champions League winners.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are demanding a fee around €20-25m to part ways with Lovren, who earns £5.2m per season at Liverpool.

Milan could only pay his current wages over a period of two years and the conditions imposed by the Merseyside club’s make it ‘difficult’ for them to sign Lovren.

Therefore, at the moment, Lovren is far away from Milan.
