Is Piotr Zielinski going to Liverpool?

This is a question we, the Italian press and the player himself seem to have been asking for a while now, and it appears we are no closer to finding out as the saga goes on.

The Premier League team were seemingly favourites to sign the player before Napoli stuck their noses in there, and since then, it seems Udinese would prefer for the player to move to their Serie A neighbours.

Allegedly rejecting Liverpool’s but accepting Napoli’s offer for the player when they were exactly the same, Udinese seem very reluctant to see the Poland international team up with Jürgen Klopp.

However, as Gazzetta dello Sport say on Thursday, the player’s want to move to Liverpool is making the transfer ‘inaccessible’ for Napoli, and forcing Maurizio Sarri to look elsewhere for a centre midfielder.

In simpler terms, Udinese don’t want him to go to Liverpool, he wants to go to Liverpool and Napoli are stuck in the middle a bit lost.

At this rate, we might still be here come transfer deadline day.
