Earlier this month, we covered claims from Bild that Liverpool have included Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica in the list of summer targets.
Another German outlet WESER-KURIER explained the forward has a fixed release clause €38m.
DeichStube once again talks about the Reds chasing in the 23-year-old as they state the Champions League winners, along with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are ‘interested parties’ in the Kosovo international.
It’s also claimed the player is considered as a ‘safe sales candidate’ after this season, meaning the Bundesliga side will look to cash in from his sale in the summer. However, Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann claims otherwise.
Rashica is tied to the German club until 2022 and Werder Bremen wanted to extend his contract at the start of this season. However, talks haven’t progressed well over an extension, claims Baumann.
“We didn’t get together in the phase. At some point the sporting situation didn’t help us either. If we were different in the table, it might be different,” he added.
Rashica wants to showcase his qualities on the ‘international stage’ and a move to Anfield could help him achieve it.
It’s to be noted DeichSube doesn’t specify who among Liverpool, Dortmund and Leipzig are leading the race to acquire Rashica’s services.
