Several Portuguese outlets have stories about Rafael Camacho’s move from Liverpool to Sporting today, and it seems that the transfer is indeed very close.
Newspapers A Bola and Record have similar information, saying the loan deal should be confirmed next week, after the Reds’ match against Wolverhampton for the FA Cup.
They say Camacho may have a chance to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and as the manager really likes the youngster, he’s not letting him go before giving him his debut.
Both outlets also agree that Camacho is joining Sporting on a six-month loan deal, which could be extended for one season in case the clubs give the green light.
As the midfielder’s current contract expires in 2020, Liverpool are actually ready to announce an extension which will run until 2023.
What Record doesn’t say both A Bola and O Jogo do is that there should be a buying option in the deal. The two outlets claim that Sporting can land Camacho for €15m at the end of the spell. To be more accurate, O Jogo says it’s €15m, and A Bola says it’s ‘no less’ than €15m.
