Reports continue to pop up in Brazil regarding Liverpool’s interest in Vasco da Gama starlet Talles Magno. This time it’s journalist Jorge Nicola who brings an update on the Reds’ chase for the 18-year-old.

He claims that both Vasco da Gama and the player’s agent Carlos Leite are looking to sell the winger in this transfer window.

The Rio de Janeiro club ‘depend’ on the transfer to settle several financial issues they have. Meanwhile, since there are presidential elections scheduled for the end of the year, the representative wants Talles gone now as he doesn’t know who’ll be in charge of the club after that.

Jorge Nicola claims that many European clubs made approaches for the signing in the past few days, and Liverpool are one of them.

It’s said Liverpool have been ‘monitoring all of Talles Magno’s steps’, and have been getting to know more about his family and his contract situation at Vasco. However, Jorge Nicola also explains no offers have been made by Jurgen Klopp’s club yet.

Despite Talles Magno’s release clause of €50m, Vasco da Gama should accept any offers of over €20m for him.
