Liverpool are monitoring Kinglsey Coman’s situation at Bayern Munich ahead of a potential move in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Christian Falk, who reports that Liverpool have Coman on their shortlist of options to bolster Arne Slot’s squad.

Coman has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern Munich this summer as he’s currently not a firm part of Vincent Kompany’s plans moving forwards.

The 28-year-old has featured in just 41% of the available minutes in the Bundesliga this season and several reports have made it clear that Bayern would be happy to sell this summer for the right price.

That’s seemingly alerted the Premier League, where Coman has been on the radar for most of his career, and several sides have already been credited with an interest.

Liverpool are not one of them given their strength up front at this moment in time, with Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa as options in the wide areas and Diaz and Gakpo on Coman’s preferred left hand side in particular.

Falk, though, insists that Liverpool are keeping an eye on the forward and believes he would be an ideal fit for them too.

“Liverpool are actually interested in him,” he said.

“He’s on the shortlist. It’s not to the point where there are negotiations or offers yet, but they’re monitoring his situation, especially after he’s Bayern’s number one sales candidate.

“Not because they don’t appreciate him, but because they can see him bringing in money.

“Yes, of course that’s one of the considerations,” he added regarding Coman’s injury history being a worry for Liverpool.

“But of course, with his high speed, he would fit in really well. He comes in on the left, but he can actually play all of them. So that would be interesting for the team.”
