Juventus’ wait to finally tell the world they have signed Emre Can from Liverpool is going to have to go on a little longer, according to Tuttosport.
That also isn’t to say he’s going to change his mind and extend his deal at Anfield, and they’re very clear about that.
No, what it means is the Germany international is currently solely focused on performing as best he can on the pitch, and it’s been showing, most recently via his performance against West Ham at the weekend.
Tuttosport state Liverpool have accepted the fact they will be losing Emre Can at the end of the season, yet the midfielder will not be putting pen to any paper with a new club until the current campaign comes to an end.
The Italian newspaper state the 24-year-old will think about Juventus then, and only then, after agreeing, but not signing, a contract with the Serie A champions.
There is also plenty of time between now and June, meaning he could still change his mind, and with a few other clubs circling, Juventus would rather it all be done sooner rather than later.
However, that doesn’t appear to be something Can is interested in with Liverpool hitting form, trying to get second spot in the Premier League and a Champions League to still play for.
These Tuttosport claims echo similar from the end of last week, and are the latest in the almost daily Can articles coming from Italy.
