Liverpool’s Naby Keïta is back on Inter Milan’s agenda after they had followed him for a few years.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who state the Serie A side like the midfielder for his technical qualities and versatility. They add he’s been ‘proposed’ to the Italian club.

The 28-year-old will leave Liverpool when his contract expires in June and wants to seek a ‘new adventure’ to discover Europe.

Simone Inzaghi’s side view the Reds midfielder as the market opportunity in the summer.  They have had some contacts with Keïta’s camp over a potential move and this was also reported by Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.

In the coming months, Inter’s leaders will evaluate whether or not to sign the Liverpool man, who is also courted by other clubs, including RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Keïta currently earns €7m net per year at Liverpool and this is a stumbling block for Inter to sign him for free in the next window.

At the moment, they are ‘waiting and keeping the opportunity under control’.
