With Liverpool chasing Alisson for a few months now, we definitely should have seen it coming.

As Brazil played Croatia in a friendly at Anfield this Sunday, officials from the Merseyside club have reportedly met the goalkeeper’s staff.

The report comes from the reliable website UOL, who claims that the meeting happened before the match, which was won by Brazil 2-0.

UOL claims that the talks happened with Alisson’s consent, as the player is keen on leaving Roma for a top club this summer.

Even though Jurgen Klopp will be keeping Loris Karius at the club, the manager reportedly wants a new goalkeeper to be the number one, and is making Alisson a priority signing for the transfer window.

But Liverpool are not the player’s first option, as the Brazilian is also waiting for Real Madrid to make an offer for him. Meanwhile, Roma are reportedly demanding €70m for the 25-year-old.
