Liverpool and Manchester United continue to be labelled as two candidates to sign Josko Gvardiol.
The rumours about his exit from RB Leipzig were quite heavy following Croatia’s campaign at the World Cup, and despite his stay at the Bundesliga side, a summer exit is still likely.
Gvardiol has a preference, according to CalcioMercato.it, and that’s for Real Madrid. The Galacticos are said to be the club who he’s chosen for his future.
The problem is that with his €100m price tag, there’s no guarantee the La Liga side will find a deal for his signing. So the Premier League is seen as an alternative, as Liverpool and Manchester United could bring him there, with Chelsea slipping out of the race.
It’s said the Anfield and Old Trafford sides are tracks that ‘remain in vogue’, although there are no details on whether they have opened talks with RB Leipzig yet.
Regarding Chelsea, the story claims that with the arrival of Benoît Badiashile, they ‘have let him go a bit’.
Liverpool and Manchester United had both been linked to him in December and January, and shall now have to wait and see what happens with Real Madrid’s pursuit before they have any hopes of winning this race.
