Over the past few days, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso, who was a target for Manchester City in the winter transfer window.

Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the Italian in detail today and they take a look at how the full-back’s situation can turn out to be in the summer.

Juventus sacked Thiago Motta some days ago and to make up for the compensation fee paid for the ex-manager, they are very likely to sell Cambiaso.

The outlet state that Manchester City will come back in for the defender in the summer, with the player already having found an agreement over personal terms with the Citizens.

In this case though, Liverpool could prove to be a ‘loose cannon’ and they can threaten Manchester City’s move for the Italy star.

Arne Slot’s side are likely to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold in the summer and Gazzetta believe that Cambiaso could prove to be Liverpool’s replacement for the Englishman, as he can also play at right-back.

Due to their financial situation, Juve will throw their doors open for Cambiaso to depart and they would ideally want more clubs to join the race.
