Liverpool have bolstered their midfield by signing Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch in the last window.
OGC Nice’s Khéphren Thuram was also linked with the Merseyside club and claims back in July had stated they appreciate his profile. Although the deal didn’t take shape in the summer, he still seems to be on the Reds’ agenda.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who state Liverpool are among the clubs in the chase for the 22-year-old.
Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the player, along with Jürgen Klopp’s side, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United.
The report says the Magpies would be challenging Liverpool and the Old Lady in the ‘hunt’ for the France international. Despite several clubs in the mix for Thuram, it’s claimed the Reds would be ‘leading the race’ to take him away from the Ligue 1 side.
The Frenchman has a deal until 2025 and the outlet explains that a fee of ‘at least’ €40m is needed to convince Nice to sanction his sale. Tutto Juve make no mention of whether Liverpool or other clubs are willing to meet this price.
Operating as a central midfielder, Thuram has made six starts in the league this season.
