Liverpool would be able to afford a deal for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, despite the fact the Italian side need an offer that ‘cannot be refused’ to sell him.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who believe the Reds ‘could do it’ and are able to meet the €40m figure needed to make a sale.
Amrabat has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League for the last few weeks after impressing at the World Cup with Morocco.
He played a key role in his side’s run to the semi-finals of the tournament in Qatar, putting in a series of impressive performances in midfield that has seemingly put him on several radars.
Liverpool are one of those to have been linked, with it believed that Jurgen Klopp is keen to improve their midfield as that has become something of a problem area for his team.
Gazzetta cover that today and say that Fiorentina have no intention of selling Amrabat unless a €40m offer arrives from somewhere.
That figure is one that ‘cannot be refused’ and there is a belief that ‘Liverpool could do it’ if they decide to push forward with a move for the World Cup star.
Whether the Reds do so remains to be seen but there it at least a belief in Italy that they could easily afford the figure required and make their move if they want to.
